Status:
Liandra Skyshade is an orphan child, an Angel, found at an early age by Kael, the last of his kind, and raised and trained alongside Darken Blackangel, who had been found a bit earlier by Kael. Despite the fact that there are no familial blood ties, Darken and Liandra consider themselves brother and sister, and have always looked out for one another. Liandra Skyshade was the name given to her by Kael, and it is the only one she ever knew to call herself.

They grew up learning the history of the Seven Spheres, the interconnected worlds of the dimension they live in. They were also trained in the martial art of Mirage Knuckle, which channels an Angels voice into powerful sonic force.

As Liandra and Darken grew up, they were allowed to go into Skycity, a smuggler's paradise, a home for pirates that flew above their world of Deianyra. It was on one of their trips to Skycity that Liandra met and became infatuated with Macabro Darknova, who was a Fallen swordsman and mercenary. The Fallen and the Angels, sister races with deep distrust for each other, were in a state of cold war. Macabro had worked for both sides, and with the Angel/Dragon war raging he was taking the orders of a third party. One who wanted to aggravate the situation to destroy both races.

As Darken explored the connection and the link it held to his family's fate, Liandra confessed her love to Darknova, who, far from being flattered, sought to take advantage of her. It was then that Liandra learned Darknova's secret:

Darknova had been changed into a vampire by Kirone Witchfire, a Fallen/Vampire princess who sought to take power by escalating the wars between races and taking power in the confusion. Darken had found out the truth in time to storm in on Darknova, too late to save her from anything save death.

Darknova had tried to rape Liandra, but she had used her innate ability as an Angel to project light and hurt him. Furious, Darknova pulled out his short dagger and gouged out her eyes. Then, spurred by the sight of her blood, sank his fangs into her throat, intending to take everything he could from her at once.

Darken interceded before he could drink enough of her blood to kill, her, and Darknova bit him. Unfortunately for Darknova, Darken's blood, equal parts Dragon and Angel, was fatal to vampires. Darknova exploded in a burst of flame.

But Liandra was near death and blinded. Despite Darken's quick action, Liandra began to exhibit symptoms of basic vampirism. Her wings, once white as snow, turned blue-black, much like Darken's were by nature. The damage however, was deeper than merely physical.

Now blind and dependent on Kael and Darken, Liandra grew deeply suicidal. Convinced her he had been damned forever, she tried to kill herself by walking out into the sun's light. However, because she was not fully a vampire, it only weakened her.

Unable to handle the drinking of blood psychologically, Darken instead began infusing her with his Soul Power, the unusual energy only he seemed able to command. Regular infusions keep Liandra from requiring human blood, and keep the animal desire to drink blood (known as "blood frenzy") from affecting her. This was the beginning of Liandra's rebirth.

The second gift came from Kael, who had been protecting the last two fairies from hunters in his temple. He used a spell of binding to bind the twin fairies to Liandra. The fairies would serve as her eyes, and Liandra would serve as their protector.

Liandra took some time to adjust to this new state, now having eyes that could see farther and better than most anyone's. She began to re-train herself, making her stronger and more skilled than before. She also began to master the abilities she had gained from her vampirism.

Finally, having found the center of herself again, she devoted herself to taking care of Darken and aiding him in his (reluctant) destiny to save the Seven Spheres. Recently, she has begun to manifest her own version of Soul Power, her body having been permanently changed by Darken's infusions.

Personality Traits:
Liandra is calm most of the time. She instinctively sizes up a situation at a glance and is able to see uncannily the best way to approach it, which is in stark contrast to Darken who goes with his first instinct most of the time. She is calm and rational, more apt to talk his way out of a fight before diving into combat.

When pushed into battle, Liandra is silent, waiting for her opponent to make a mistake she can exploit.

Liandra is a very quiet person. She doesn't speak much and smiles even less. She makes her points quickly, and rarely wastes words. She loves Darken very much, and loves the world she lives in equally. She prefers the company of nature to the company of people, and seems to only live to develop her skills.

She is also very shy. Her hair hides the scars and empty sockets where her eyes are, and she rarely volunteers anything about herself to people's she's just met. However, if she senses they are trustworthy (Or they are close to Darken) she will open up given time.

Liandra is a very centered person, and people take great comfort from talking to her. She bristles at being considered inspirational (for conquering her handicap) but she is not above helping others achieve the state she has achieved.

Her fairies, Aurorya and Adorya, never speak, but apparently they do communicate with Liandra. They are very affectionate towards her and take very little notice of anyone else. One watching them long enough may find them sitting on her shoulder, resting against her neck, or playing with her hair.

Fighting Capabilities:
Liandra is perhaps a more accomplished physical combatant than even Darken. She exercises rigorously and is forever refining her Mirage Knuckle skills. She has learned aerial maneuvering from Darken and the basics of air combat, though she is limited by her refusal to use weapons. She has experience with most of the weapons of the Seven Spheres, but she eschews them, preferring to rely on her own skills.

In addition, when in complete darkness, Liandra gains strength and endurance thanks to her vampiric nature. She will, from time to time, exploit the psychological advantage of her abilities to scare her opponent out of a fight. Defensively, when Liandra is within darkness or the shadows, she becomes virtually invisible. Where as Darken tends to favor straight-on attacks, Liandra, recognizing her inability to fight on that level, prefers to use stealth and quiet to achieve victory.

She has recently begun to manifest a version of Darken's Soul Power, though hers manifests as a red aura, instead of the normal blue aura. She has yet to use it for more than the basic attacks and defense, but if Darken's potential is any indication, her control of it could grow.

Special Abilities:
Liandra draws her power form four sources: Her Soul Power, her vampiric nature, her twin fairies, and her innate Angelic Ability to command lightning and light.

Aurora: Summoning her own abilities and her fairies ability to project light, Liandra can create a blinding flash of light to disorient her enemies. It is also harmful to vampires, and can sap her strength as well.

Shardra: A limited healing spell.

Soul Sword: Summoning her Soul Power, Liandra can create a blade-like beam of solid energy and wield it as a sword. Due to her reluctance to use weapons and the toll it takes on her (using it drains her body greatly) she prefers not to use it.

Scarlet Rain Silence: Liandra casts a spell that saps all light in a given area. Within this absolute darkness she is able to use her vampiric strength and abilities. A sufficient burst of light or Liandra's loss of consciousness causes the darkness to dissipate.

Falcon Arrow: Liandra charges up the power of her fairies into a light projectile that injures an enemy.

Scarlet Mirage: Using the powers of darkness, Liandra casts multiple images of herself which in turn confuses her enemies and lowers their agility.

Scarlet Terror: Using her angelic abilities, Liandra uses the shrill of her voice to strike terror to her enemies; lowers defense.

Lightning Scarlet: Liandra charges the battlefield with multiple lightning strikes; injures and paralyzes enemies.

Starlight Laser: Using the power of her twin fairies, Liandra generates a laser-like beam of light while her fairies rotate around her, firing their own light energy. Up until recently, this was Liandra's most powerful skill. Liandra often uses a weaker version of this, wherein only her fairies fire.

Fairy Dreaming: Aurorya and Adorya generate an energy residue that, when use sufficiently, will put an enemy to sleep. In addition, Liandra can pitch her voice to enhance the power of the spell.

Crescent Moon: Liandra's Fairies generate a crescent boomerang-like blade of hot light and hurl it at an enemy. This attack is fatal to pure vampires (vampires who were born, not turned into one) and weakens Liandra by proximity.
