DARKEN BLACKANGEL

PHOENIX ROMANOVA
The Goddess of Fire and Wisdom. She finds Darken at the lowest point in his life, and shows him the way. Together, they confront Darken's destiny and fight for the very future of the Spheres.

LIANDRA SKYSHADE
Darken's adopted sister, turned from an angel into a vampire by a cruel twist of fate. Liandra stands by her "brother's" side in his fight for the future.

KIRONE WITCHFIRE
Child of Vampires and the Fallen, Kirone Witchfire sees her destiny as supreme ruler of the Spheres. Darken's implacable rival in the battle for the future. Her mastery of magic and manipulation make her a dangerous opponent.

LANICRUS
A cyborg clone of Darken, infused with chaotic energy. Lanicrus is sworn totally to Kirone and her goal of conquest. He will not rest until Darken Blackangel lays dead at his feet and is Lady Kirone assumes her throne as Empress of the Seven Spheres.

VERTIGO SPARTICAN
Phoenix Romanova's rival, who has chased her through to the Spheres. The chaotic energy she wields with her cursed sword Gryphonforcer makes her a powerful ally and a powerful enemy. But whose side is she truly on?

ADAMOV
Former lover of Vertigo, he returns from the veil of death to reclaim the heart of Vertigo Spartican. Resurrected thanks to otherworldly technology, he is death forced back to life. In realization of this, he christens himself the Lord of Death. He swears to kill Darken with his ability to force life into decay and death for stealing the heart of his beloved Vertigo.

SUPPORTING CAST

SACHIEL
The Prince of the Angel Kingdom. He and Darken begin as rivals for the affections of Maryna Cyclade, the woman he is pledged to marry. But when the scope of Kirone's plans draw them both together, the beginnings of a friendship are formed, and Sachiel commits himself to Darken's battle for the future of the Spheres.

LEILIEL
The Angel of Darkness, Master of Assassins to the Royal Family. Her sister, Maryna, is the prize in a contest between Sachiel and Darken. But very soon all four of these young people will be drawn into a destiny they cannot comprehend.

MARYNA CYCLADE
The lover of Darken Blackangel and soon-to-be Princess of the Angel Kingdom. Protected by her sister, Leiliel, Maryna is torn between the man she loves and the man she is promised to. But before long, Maryna will become enfolded into the beginnings of a destiny that has an uncertain--and tragic--end.

MISCELLANEOUS CHARACTERS

CYAN INDIGO
The Goddess of Water and Passion and the sister of Phoenix Romanova. Imprisoned on the Spheres, a young Darken frees her, and befriends her.

YROUEL
The Angel of Fear. The secret protector of the Royal Family of Angels, Yrouel's identity is kept totally secret. Enforcing the will of the Royal Family when there can be no sign of an Angel's hand in the plot, Yrouel is the shadow cast by the Angel's light.
